Children do not observe wildlife. They absorb it.

A child who watches a lioness move her cubs at dawn does not forget it. A teenager who tracks a leopard with a GAPI guide does not come home the same person. Sole-use means the whole family sets the pace — no strangers, no pressure to move on.

GAPI guides are naturalists who know how to teach. They adjust language, depth, and pace for every age in the vehicle.

Designed for you

Every itinerary built around your group.

Young children get shorter drives, more camp time, and interactive activities — bush walks, bird ID, star mapping, and the junior naturalist journal. Teenagers get longer drives, night drives, and a chance to assist with tracking.

We handle every detail. You focus on being together in one of the most extraordinary places on Earth.

What we provide

Six things that make GAPI family-ready.

01
Sole-use

Your vehicle. Your pace.

When the six-year-old needs a break, you return to camp. When the teenager wants to stay for a crossing, you stay. No other party is waiting.

02
Education

Junior naturalist programme

Every child receives a GAPI field journal for tracking species and recording observations with the guide during game drives.

03
Safety

Child-safe camps

Trained askaris overnight. Level 3 wilderness medical kit in every vehicle. Satellite communication at all times.

04
Flexibility

Paced for every age

Shorter mornings for young children. Extended afternoons for teenagers. Mid-day camp activities to keep every age engaged.

05
Meals

Family-friendly dining

Chefs who cook for every palate. Flexible children’s meal timing. Dietary requirements handled without exception. Snack boxes for drives.

06
Extension

Beach chapter

Most families finish with 3–5 days on Zanzibar — snorkelling, dhow sailing, Stone Town. Charter flight direct from the Serengeti.

Our children still talk about it every week. The leopard tracking with Lameck changed our fourteen-year-old. He came home a different person.
