No. Every GAPI safari is private and sole-use. Your vehicle and guide are yours alone for the duration of the journey.
For peak months (July–September and January–February), 6–12 months is ideal for preferred camps. Shoulder and green-season dates are often more flexible with shorter lead times.
Quotes usually cover private vehicle and guide, park fees, accommodation as agreed, and airport transfers where specified. International flights, visas, travel insurance, and personal expenses are typically excluded — we list inclusions clearly on every itinerary.
On safari with GAPI.
It depends on what you want. Dry season (June–October) is peak for Mara crossings and Tarangire elephants. Calving season (December–March) is peak for predators at Ndutu. Green season (April–May) is lush, quieter, and excellent for photography. See our best time guide.
We specialise in the Northern Circuit: Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, and Lake Manyara — plus Kilimanjaro and Meru treks, and cultural routes such as Maasai and Hadzabe experiences when requested.
Yes. GAPI is Tanzanian-owned and based in Arusha. Our guides bring years of Northern Circuit field experience — wildlife behaviour, migration timing, and cultural context — not a scripted tour.
Yes, where permitted under separate TANAPA night permits. Our night-configured Land Cruisers use red-light interiors and high-output spotlights for nocturnal wildlife — lions on hunt, leopards, aardvark, honey badger, and more.

Custom Toyota Land Cruiser 78 Series for game drives (pop-up roofs, extended range, photography power) and 70 Series for mountain and cultural access. Every vehicle is sole-use for your party. Details on our vehicles page.
Typically up to 4 guests plus driver/guide — so everyone has a window seat and roof access. Larger parties travel in multiple sole-use vehicles.
Yes. Game-drive vehicles have 12V and 220V outlets at seats, bean bag rests at roof positions, and storage for camera bags — built for serious photography.
Before you travel.
Most nationalities require a visa or eVisa. Requirements change — check the official Tanzanian immigration site for your passport. We can point you to current guidance once dates are set.
Yellow fever may be required depending on your travel history. Malaria prophylaxis is commonly recommended for the Northern Circuit. Speak with a travel clinic; we share packing and health notes with every confirmed itinerary.
